Yuefeng Yin

Research Fellow @ Monash University
CV
Welcome — this is my corner of the web. Part academic profile, part research notebook, part quiet experiment in keeping a personal site in 2026.
I received my Ph.D. in Materials Science from Monash University, Australia. I'm now a Research Fellow in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Monash, where I use first-principles simulation and tight-binding modelling to ask one stubborn question: how do we make electrons in quantum materials carry information faster, cooler, and more robustly than they do today?
I'm actively looking for new positions and collaborations in quantum physics, computational materials science, and quantum materials. Industry, academia, or a thoughtful in-between — if our interests overlap, please reach out.
Recent threads: topological transport in two-dimensional bismuth · phonon engineering in Mg3Bi2 Zintl phases · open, reproducible computational workflows for new students. The CV has the full story; Projects has the short one.
