Research Flyer

Journal-style research flyer (modelled on a Science “Research Article” layout) in the RTS blue theme, generated from YAML:

Page 1 — highlight summary: tag, kicker, title, authors, link/badge, a two-column Introduction / Rationale / Results / Conclusion summary and one full-width figure pinned to the foot of the page.
Pages 2+ — detailed article: two-column body with title block and abstract, sections, figures (column or full width), tables, numbered equations, callouts, references, acknowledgments and affiliations. Running head, footer (venue DATE, n of N) and a vertical side note on every page.

Edit

Everything is in <project>/flyer.yaml; the cheatsheet at the top of mid_report/flyer.yaml lists every block type. Quick reference:

Markdown and inline HTML anywhere (**bold**, *italic*, <sub>2</sub>).
Citations: [[3]], [[1-4]], [[5, 11-29]] → linked “(1–4)” pointing at article.references.
Maths: $E_g$ inline, or {type: equation, tex: '…', number: 1}.
Figures: {type: figure, src: figures/x.svg, label: "Fig. 1", title, caption, span: full}; SVGs are inlined, PNG/JPG embedded, so the HTML is self-contained.
Colours: add theme: {accent: "#…", accent_dark: "#…"} to override the RTS blue.

New flyer

Copy mid_report/ to a new folder (e.g. final_report/), edit its flyer.yaml, then build.

Build

pip install -r requirements.txt

Needs Google Chrome ≥ 131 (CSS page-margin boxes); set CHROME_BIN to use another binary. The build warns if the summary text no longer fits on page 1.
